Abu-Ghazaleh Receives a Delegation Representing Palestinian Accountants

  AMMAN----February 13, 2014-------HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, president of the International Arab Society of Certified Accountants, received a delegation representing the Palestinian Accountants’ Association (PAA) headed by Mr. Mohammad Al-Za’tari, Head of the PAA.
 
Ways of cooperation, especially in terms of developing the profession in Palestine, were discussed in the meeting.
 
“The IASCA, as usual, puts all the expertise, potential and resources at the service of the Palestinian professionals," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said. He announced the renewal of a scholarship regarding the International Arab Certified Professional Accountant (IACPA) for accountants in Palestine, in a mechanism to enhance their professional capabilities and granting them the IASCA’s certificate.
 
Al-Za’tari voiced his gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his constant care for the Palestinian accountants by all means. He also expressed his institution’s aspiration to collaborate with IASCA
 
The IASCA was established on January 12, 1984 in London as a non-profit accounting organization. It was officially registered in Amman on February 24, 1994. It aims at raising the international level of accounting, audit and other relevant issues, preserving professional independence of accountants, maintaining their security and applying professional control standards.
 
On the other hand, the PAA was established in 2008 in Palestine in a bid to develop accounting. The Association focuses on the courses, studies and consultations which lead to the practice of accounting in a scientific, professional manner.
